Dave uses this so he does not drop his guitar
pick in his guitar.

that is rediculous. dave uses the feedback buster because it helps eliminate feedback problems when playing an acoustic guitar to a huge venue with the amps turned way up.
even reading the kaman site it says
Feedback Buster reduces feedback for an Acoustic/Electric guitar. Insert Feedback Buster into your guitar's sound hole while using the pickup system and it reduces unwanted feedback, allowing greater sound control. Fits all standard size sound holes.
100mm in diameter.
what's up with that...

I believe he had one in his guitar for the SNL preformance and that was his Martin DM3MD so I think he uses it in both company's guitars.
If your friend is already dead, and being eaten by vultures, I think it's okay to feed some bits of your friend to one of the vultures, to teach him to do some tricks. But ONLY if you're serious about adopting the vulture.

I rarely see dave play full band with a Martin other than his DM3MD.. so i'm guessing that's why he doesn't use them in his martins..

That's not necessarily true.....he used the DM3MD during some shows in 99 (i.e. Listener Supported). He uses a LOT of expensive equipment to get his guitar in shape for concerts. The reason he doesn't have to use it in acoustic shows is that he doesn't need to "cut through the mix" of the band. When he plays his Taylor, he's full band and it just may be succeptible to feedback.

bingo. check the first post. the reason to use one of these is to cut feedback issues. if there are no feedback issues then he doesn't need one.

Ok correct me if Im wrong but its just a little rubber disc guys, no need to get all upset. We have turned this into a hostile thread. Just back away from the keyboard and take a deep breath.
OK now go back for round 2!

Just a thought . . . but i think another reason he doesn't use it on tour with tim is becuase he mic's his guitar too. The feedback buster takes away some of the acoustic sound. Just a 7:45am thought.
