dmbtabs...welcome to it. thanks for your comments. you're going to find some very very very talented people here, those who put me to shame. if you want, i can find some the old amazing recordings that have been hosted here over the years that i've been here, just to give you a taste. either way, enjoy what you here, there are some future stars hiding here.justanotherfan wrote:I am new here......you are the first I listened to singing (this thread is so cool). I really liked your voice and your guitar playing. Keep up the great work!
Well off to look for some other nifty stuff (actually the whole board is nifty).

You are welcome. I think this is a great place to be and ty for the welcome. I hope one day I will be able to play some DMB songs on my guitar. This site has given me the inspiratin to practice, practice, practice, and not give up or get disgusted.
Yes, I would also like to hear some of the stuff you have stored. You are right, there is so much talent here and the greatest DMB fans.

That was preatty good, decent lyrics too, very catchy imo. If I were you I would try to sing a little softer and closer to the mic to warm them up a bit, give it a haunting feel.

That is badass Mitch.
Great verses and I love the vocal melody in the chorus.
The only thing that sounds kinda odd to me is the first chord in the pre chorus. I understand it changes to a different key and it's vital to the chorus but maybe lay off the bass note a little. A little less emphasis on it perhaps.
It really is awesome though. I think this is my favorite from you and the recording sounds great too.

thanks man. i completely understand what you mean about the prechorus. the mic i'm using is cheap and very bassy to start off w/ but i think the notes are just too low too. i think i'm going to try to rewrite that part w/ higher chord voicings of the same chords. anyway, i'm glad you listened. i didn't want you to think that i didn't value your opinion by my first post about no one listening, cause that certainly isn't true. thanks again.Trippin Hillbilly wrote:That is badass Mitch.

This is great Namesake. I don't really have much to crit at all. I suck at counting time sigs, but is it 3 bars or 3/4, then 1 of 2/4? I really like the timing anyways.
And I gotta say, I wasn't a huge fan of the lyrics, but you sang them terrificly, and had a beautifully haunting melody line going on there. Kudos mang.
