I just realised the backing vocals suck. I'll need to fix those.

I thought that was great, the backing vocals do need work. but other than that I loved both the riff and the lyrics and I thought your voiced sounded excellent.

i like it dude. the djembe added so much to it, but the guitar part is cool. i think this song would sound good w/ just a little bit of overdrive in your acoustic. don't know if you've ever experiemented w/ that, but it's kind of cool if you don't use too much.

your voice was awesome as always. great falsettos.

Thanks guys. I messed with the backing vocals since I first posted it so it should be a little better. They still need work though.

Mitch, I've never tried that. Would that sound a bit like dave's chet?

you know, i never thought about it, but it does kind of only fuller. really dirty, but w/ a good pick up in a soundhole, it's a bigger sound.

Wow, this is really good. The falsettos are the highlight for me. Do you have anymore stuff with this djembe player?

EDIT: How did you record the djembe?

Yeah I've got lots of stuff with him. I'll probably post some more pretty soon. We're gonna record an album soon.

As for how I recorded the djembe.
I have a couple of Rhode NT-5's on a stereo bar. Mic'd closely, one pointing down to pick up the bass and the other at the skin of the djembe. And panned accordingly. About 50 left for the bass and 35 right for the treble. Hope that makes any sense.

Good stuff Miguel. That djembe player is pretty sick.

I'm with Kahn, the falsettos are great. Glad to hear that you will be recording more soon.

I also played a bass track over it...so that helps I guess.
