LOL, have you actually opened one of jareds tabs on there? in the heading of the tabs it does mention Jared as the tabber, and it says underneath that "Provided courtesy of amidreaming.org" ...Well thank fucking god, how curteous they are to place someone else's tabs on their site. I mean I bet jared is just so relieved there is finally a place for his tabs....oh wait there already was. Seriously this is the best guitar site I have been to and I have felt that in just the last couple of months coming here has greatly improved my skill and excitment on the guitar. Its not just about learning how to play dave stuff, its about learning how to play the guitar in general, just through dave songs. This site is a valuable tool for anyone and I can't believe someone would have the balls to put them on their site, if anything they should link to your site. and to the 6% or so percent that think jared and the others are worng, Fuck you. later. Keep up the good work jared.

I wouldn't go as far as that keystone light...in the beginning I helped Jared some(5+ songs) and he never put my name right next to the correction nor did I ask him to...at least the guy mentioned that they were jareds tabs...if its gonna be taken this far, then jared should write a little footnote beside each correction with the person's name on it, because I didnt get recognition for it....Plus, if the guy didnt even mention that they were jareds, there would have been absolutely no possible way to know if he copied and pasted them....I mean I could start a whole new web site and copy and paste all these tabs and say that I did it all myself... I knew the exact way to play pretty much every dave song and actually "could" play it exactly before this site was even up...so what if I made my own site, our tabs would have been the same, actually mine might have even been more accurate if i didnt decide to help jared...I helped Jared because who cares whos tabs they are, it's daves songs...is there a copyright on daves tabs?

Now, I understand the fact that he worked really hard in getting these accurate tabs, but he should have known this was gonna happen in the first place just like how I knew people were gonna give jared credit for my corrections. Did you see me complain?

It was going absolutely nowhere - there was going to be no resolution to that issue, so why continue yelling at and flaming each other?

That kind of thread is so typical of the type that's on the fan boards these days. Everyone is so immature. I've stopped posting on pretty much all of them except this one. (I'm thewellander on Nancies and Ants, btw)

Jkanter, you obviously spends a lot of time making these tabs and it's totally not fair for anyone to do that, and especially wrong for people to be such jerks about it.

Well Dmbfanjason, I obviously am not aware of any of those issues, which I'd rather not get involved in, but I will say its not even just the tabs that makes this site. I mean all the time and effort (not to mention money) is what makes me like this site so much. If you look at the 8 gifts or whatever the hell they were called, you could see that he truly enjoyed giving something back and thats the most important. I mean I can't say that amidreaming.org isn't trying to do the same things, but if they want to sit down and tab it all out on their own and happen to come up with some of the same tabs then so be it, but why don't they do it. I mean hell I could have tons of sites that would be pretty damn good if I went around and copied other peoples work. I guess I could go on and on, but really I just think it would be very upsetting to me if I put forth all this work and someone else took it..If anything I think that site should at least give a link and contribute to the traffic going here since they are apparently using his tabs. And by the way, it may be Dave's music, but the are NOT dave's tabs. Unless he wrote them down his own damn self these are Jkanter's intepretations and these days you can copyright anything as your own including just ideas. So until dave starts tabbing his own songs this is the site I am sticking with and supporting. And this isn't a knock on you dmbfanjason, I think you have a lot of balls putting out your covers and I enjoy listening to them. I'll stop rambling, later.

Taking content from someone else's site without permission and posting it on yours - with or without permission - is simply wrong. That applies to tabs, linking to images on other servers (stealing bandwidth), blog entries, or articles.

The tabs on this site are not copyrighted. That doesn't make stealing the content of this website any less underhanded or discourteous.

And as far as making money off the site - where the fuck is my share, Kanter?!? :evil:
