what I've never understood is a smoker's inability to quit. My aunt is a doctor (Baltimore medical examiner) and she smokes, and is obviously fully aware that she is essentially killing herself. Yet, she says quitting is too hard. :?:

Nicotine is a physically addictive chemical (as opposed to a psychologically addictive one). Luckily I've never suffered from any sort of physical addiction, so I don't know what it's like. But because it's physically addictive, your body tells your brain that it requires the substance to function. Obviously that's not true, but for most people it takes a lot of willpower to ignore what your body is telling your brain to do.

I know with coffee, I started gettin bad heaaches from not having it. I regulary smoke on the job, but I just bum a cig off somebody. And Jason Mraz smokes and has an amazing voice. I have ssen John Mayer with a cig, but I dont know if he smokes or not.

During the summer I work at a Tree Nursery/ Garden center place..its frickin huge. But we have about 40 employees. out of the 40 only myself and 3 others do not smoke!! Its like they work there so they can smoke. It blows my mind that 36 out of 40 people there smoke.
