Kill the King has really grown on me since I first heard it, but it's not my favorite new song. I have a feeling that Idea of You is going to be their first single when the new record comes out and it's going to become a pretty big hit - which will in turn probably ruin the song for most of us when it does. But i'm going to enjoy it for now, why it's still virtually unknown except for hardcore DMB fans.
if its such a good song does it really matter if it becomes a radio song? for a while i found myself not liking crash because it was popular... but then i realized there is a reason it is popular. because it is a good song!

hearing songs everywhere just kind of ruins them for me. I say kind of, becase I still like songs like Stay and Crash Into Me, but I cringe when I hear them outside of a DMB setting for some reason.

Yeh, it's always a good song. I guess the thing that bothers me is the people who only like the mainstreem radio music, and I feel that when this single is released (if it is, I have a feeling it will be their first single) then it's going to become a mainstream pop hit. I just don't think that people that only listen to mainstream radio don't have a real appreciation for music, and that tends to ruin the song for me.

Although Stay was a single, I don't think the casual lsitener would eally recognize it compared to Crash or The Space Between

i agree with ALMOST all of what you said. i think that people who listen to only mainstream do not have a good appreciation for music or for the band, but it doesnt ruin the song for me.. it just makes me hate the mainstreamers instead?

I could really go for another new song debut, wasn't fonzy talking on one of his first posts that there was a couple that he played a stand up bass on? That'd be pretty cool. I'd kinda like to hear the debut of Run While, instead of that 15 second cell phone clip.

Anyone have a good recording of full band Minarets with a nice dave scat intro? A friend of mine asked me and i really want him to hear a good dave scat intro with the band. I've got several versions but no scat. Any help?
