Check
http://www.mguitar.com/guitars/choosing/price.php?c=8
You are supposed to get retail prices close to 60% of the announced price.
You can get, for instance, the D-16RGT for around 60% x $1649 ~ $990
I think that, if you want a Martin in this price range, this is a nice option.
Consider also the 000 body size if you play more fingerstyle.

the prices listed are much higher than that in music123 and musiciansfriend, i think both sites are selling in the retail value, coz they have a list price then thier price so i think its the same.sfmartins wrote:Check

for example your DC-16GTE is for 1950$ but sold online for 1450$
im thinking now about the D15 and the 00015 they are both solid mahogany and cost 850$, so i`ll be able to get the lr baggs imix.
The LR Baggs IMix Onboard w/IBeam, Element Active, is a preamp and they say
The IMix preamp/stereo mixer/controller mounts on the side of the guitar
The IMix Onboard's side-mounted preamp/eq is a direct replacement for the Fishman Prefix
now the guitar thet im getting is just an acoustic but i can still install this in right, they cut a hole in the body of the guitar and install it? or is thet a problem?

The other option is to have it installed later in Egypt...

Consider also these two options:
1. D16GT

I would say so, but it might depend a little on what sound you're looking for... and I've never tried the 15 series.RaSh wrote:wow they look gr8, are they better than the d15 and the 0015, in sound i mean.
Compare the specifications.
Anyway, I'm sure you'll get more info about that with other guys here.
i also found

and

what do you think? i can go as far as 1000$ thats it ,coz i still need a pickup so i figured i can either get the d15 or the 00015 with an imix, or one of thoes with a Matrix Natural II or a Martin Thinline Goldplus.

The 000 body size is more appropriate for fingerstyle. The sound will be less deep than a Dread. So it just depends on what style you want to play. Also, it might be better if you're playing in a band (it'll be easier to cut through).
The D1 is not completely solid (Laminated Mahogany on the sides), and I wouldn't go for it.
These are just my opinions, though...

So it's just mahogany sides and not solid mahogany sides.RaSh wrote:D1-series solid spruce top dreadnought acoustic guitar with solid mahogany back and mahogany sides
this was written under it

You can already decide on the body size, because that's really personal and only you can decide.RaSh wrote:yeah so now its down to the D15 or the 00015 with an lr baggs imix, or the 00016GT or the D16GT with an Acoustic Matrix Natural II or Martin Thinline Goldplus.
Then wait for the other guys for more opinions. Mine would be for the 16 series, no doubt.
