Live Trax 6 - Fenway 2006 Both Nights

Unread post by Elliottman » Mon Jul 17, 2006 1:51 pm

Dave Matthews Band would like to thank all of the fans who helped make the first half of the 2006 summer tour one of the best tours yet. The band is really looking forward to coming back in late July to finish out this special run, including the August 5-6, 2006 Island Getaway on Randalls Island in NYC.

To commemorate the 2006 summer tour, we are excited to announce that we will be releasing both nights of the Fenway Park shows as the next Live Trax volume! This special 4-CD set will contain every note played, including new songs such as The Idea of You and Can’t Stop. Included will be recent revivals The Last Stop and Proudest Monkey, as well as DMB’s rendition of the Fenway Park tradition, Sweet Caroline. Please stay tuned to the website for special Live Trax preorder information and announcements regarding the availability of Fenway event merchandise.

Should be ok i guess?

Think they will bump the price since its a 4 disc or show some loyalty and keep it at usual price?

It is a lot better than Folsom (self explanatory), Gorge (intolerable mix, 3 gigs and 3 waygs) , LS (the CD, at least, a dvd of fenway would have been nice) GGP (just a horrible performance), and so on. It is definatley not a 'terrible release.' Anyone who says that, I ask you if you have listened to the recordings, because I think it is evident you haven't. Two nights and no repeats except for can't stop. I do'nt think you can ask for much more. The only thing missing is Dreaming Tree and JTR.

Blooooow me.

Fenway is just good enough for a live trax. I'm glad they didn't make a bigger deal out of it. It's not like it's the next Central Park release or anything. It was a unique stop on the tour, and so it gets to be the next live trax.

they should just mix all the shows. and then you can order any show that you want for like...$30 or something.

how hard could it be to mix the shows?
