What the hell?
You know when you open up the Some Devil case and you take out the CD and the plastic thing that holds the CD in their is some boxy designs and words. What the hell are the words next to the song titles about? Are they saying what the song is about...because next to Save Me it says "I think I'm balding" anyone got any info on this, or is Dave just bein a funny guy as usual.

The interviews from the Some Devil site, Dave ever talked about how he notices he has more of a forehead than he used to. Also, from the text by Dodo, I think it does have something to do with the song, talking about national geographic, and about how views change. Hence the Adolf Hitler reference. Then, for So Damn Lucky, I have no clue, but they were so damn lucky not to get hit, and poor tree, and what a waste of a good canoe. The Gravedigger one just talks about his father, and wanting for him to be proud of him . . . that is almost exactly what was printed, hmm, didn't really need to type that. I wonder if the reason why Some Devil is printed without text, maybe Dave just couldn't think or something.t

"A description of Christ from the moment he is pinned to the Cross, through his death, and his thoughts as to whether Mankind is worth the trouble to return to Earth, and “save”. The Could Dad be God line represents thoughts passing through Christ’s mind as he begins to ponder his own existence. The forgive you why line also touches on the human aspect of Christ, as he contemplates why exactly he should come back after 3 days. Dave has used The Passion (Peter Gabriel) from The Last Temptation Of Christ soundtrack, and this is probably an influence here. It has a slight Gnostic feel to it. i think the first verse of spoon, "i thought of you, and turned to the gate..." is christ leaving heaven to begin his journey. slight difference but not really.
then the second time "i think of you and turn to the gate / and on my way there are vocies behind me..." is when christ is leaving hell to come back to earth.

"Forget about what you are escaping from," he said, quoting an old maxim of Kornblum's. "Reserve your anxiety for what you are escaping to."
