My ex-girlfriend's sister had that first part of Bittersweet Symphony by The Verve played while she walked down the isle...I guess that would only work if you had a small orchestra.....so, do you?

Ok, this is a song that John Lennon wrote in the style of a song for a wedding. This is so perfect. It's called Grow Old Along With Me. It was recorded soon before he died. It's on piano, but you can play it on guitar, the lyrics are the important part. I have 2 versions, one off the Milk And Honey album which is just John and the piano on the demo. The second is off the John Lennon Anthology, and it has a band on top of it. Here are the lyrics

grow old along with me
the best is yet to be
when our time has come
we will be as one
god bless our love
god bless our love

This would be perfect, since it was written in that style. What do you think?

Morning has Broken - Cat Stevens
My parents had it played at their wedding and ever since I first heard the song I've loved it.
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

Don't Drink The Water. LoL. No, but seriously, and I know you said you weren't looking for any dave songs, but I think a mellowed version of Stay would be quite nice.

I still say, the two best would be Grow Old With Me, or if it would be just husband to wife, Woman by John Lennon.

I just played at my brother's wedding 2 weeks ago. They had me play guitar and the father of the bride sang, so it was really cool, kind of both families coming together. Anyway, the song was called A Page Is Turned by Bebo Norman.
