Help with Grey Street
Hey everyone. I am somewhat of a beginner and I have picked Grey Street to be my first Dave song to try to learn to play. Mostly because I kinda tried a bunch of them and this was the only one that i came close to makeing sound good. I was wondering if anyone could give me any helpful hints. Thanks.

It helps to learn that Dave chord really good if you dont already. Also, learn how to play it with your pinky and ring finger, and also learn how to play it with your index and middle finger. That way you can alternate between the two wtihout having to jump around so much. If youre having trouble actually learning the song Im sure me or someone else can make a recording for you. But learning how to do that fingering I was referring to helps a lot for this song and others, like tripping billies and the jam to lie in our graves. Let us know if you have any more quesitons and welcome to the boards.

Well, most people let the d-string ring out cuz it makes it sound more full, and you should learn to play it the way I mentioned and the way that kanter plays it on the video. To mute the a-string all you do is just use your index or ring (whichever is currently on the e-string) and have it just hang down enough on the a string to mute it. Understand?
