I really focused in on what he was doing at SPAC last week, he adds so much and is so underappreciated its incredible. You could never replace him.

Since I don't know a lot about bass...I can't tell, but i'm sure that if he was able to join the band with 16 and stay there for all this time, he must be very good.

Ya, granted he is not as talented with his instrument as, say, carter is with the drums, but he has his own voice and I agree, something you could not replace even with someone that is better.

From this year?  He just turned 32.

I love it when people say he's not good at what he does, because it makes it very clear how much they don't know what they're talking about.

Stefan really is an amazing bassist. I really think he is indeed one of the better bassists in the music world at the moment. It's almost amazing how little recognition and respect he recieves from the music world.

Although this could also be me being sick of people going on and on about how Flea is the greatest thing when it comes to bass. Although, then again.. I think alot of people say that because he's the only bassist they know the name of. (I'm not knockin', but that could the reason for some people)

he's the best bassist in mainstream music. the only bassist in a giantly known band who can slap really well, and come out with awsome bass lines.

stefan is really awsome, but he's really a band bassist, to where he fits really well with a band, specifically the band he's in. the bassists i posted above is my favorite, and in my oppinion is the best, in also my oppinion of what the best is. being very rounded and having a distinct sound. but of course he couldnt fill in for dmb just becuase of the different type of music.
