same here, if you started seeing them before 2001 it is near impossible to see a better show these days. those setlists are unmatched

couldnt agree more, i dont want to get into the whole debate about the newer fans, been there before and it just gets ugly. there are plenty of good fans that have come along (not really my place to judge but...) it just started to suck when dmb shows became "the place to be" people standing around talking on cell phones not entirely into the music. but honestly it was a totally different scene when i first started seeing them, also i remember seeing the band and them having so much energy. they still do, but i just remember early on seeing them and it was just crazy.

totally agree about the fans and the atmosphere. this past week at SPAC was really bad. it makes me hate ED and SU even more than I already do. There always was a fringe group of teeny boppers who liked Crash and what not but now it seems that small minority has become the overwhelming majority. it was really pissing me off these past two shows, nobody is into the music, they are just there to party. it definitely didnt use to be like that when I started going to shows 10 years ago. now there obviously have been some great fans who have come along post ED like you said but they are vastly outweighed by the mass amount of 14-16 year old girls i see at shows nowadays
