Read This Before Downloading Concerts
Alright kiddies, it's getting mighty frustrating for me, and I'm sure for Gianni and Bobby and everyone else to answer the same questions over and over again.
Here we go:
Let me preface by saying, this is not hard.
The full concerts posted here are posted in lossless audio formats.
These files are big. These files are most often FLAC, but sometimes SHN. Both formats preserve all the audio that was there to start with. Formats such as mp3, mp4/m4a/aac, and, wma do not preserve that quality. These are the same type of files distributed through sites like http://www.dreamingtree.org and http://www.bt.etree.org.
You cannot play these files in iTunes or Windows Media Player.
Many players support these files, though. I find the best of these players to be Foobar2000. You can download the installer at http://www.foobar2000.org. Make sure to execute the Full Install. Foobar2000 is simple and user friendly. Simply add or drag and drop and you've got gapless playback of pretty much any file type out there.
You cannot burn these files to an audio CD with most programs.
Using common sense, one can know that since these files can't be played with iTunes or WMP, they can't be burned in those programs. But fear not! You can burn directly from Foobar2000! Simply select the songs you want to burn, right click, and click "Write Audio CD." The rest is done for you. See how easy it is?
I repeat. This is not hard to do. You can listen to and burn files that aren't mp3s. No one will post full shows in lossy formats here.
The concerts are good, listen to them.

What I do is burn an audio CD or two with the songs i want in the cassette tape and then use a recorder to record them from the cd to the tape.Lbacker wrote:How do I burn FLAC or .SHN files to a Cassette Tape?

According to this page over at The Trader's Den, there are a few programs for Mac to play these files.
