Octave Pedal Question

I was just wondering if using an octave pedal can get a regular electric to baritone. I don't know if this has been asked before, but it's been bugging me.

Well if memory serves me, baritone tuning is 5 half steps below standard. An octave is twelve half steps. I suppose one could capo the seventh and then use an octave pedal, but I would be shocked if it didn't sound like total shit. It's hard to tune well with a capo on anyway, and octave pedals sound awful if you're out of tune at all.

Yeah i have tried the capo method on an acoustic and it was terrible. You might get away with electric though....still if you want decent sound i would look into danelectro baritones, i think they are 349 new and cheaper used.
Do I listen to pop music because I'm miserable or am I miserable because I listen to pop music?
