anybody have any ideas on a thinline acoustic electric for less than $1000.....i know u can get a used chet atkins for 700-800 bucks on ebay....but any other ideas?

The Chet is really a sweet guitar but you really do have to plug it in to get a good sound. It really has a hard time as a stand-alone acoustic guitar which, in my opinion, would be it's ONLY short coming. But you can't have it all right?

If you're looking at spending less than $1k you might want to look at Taylors. You should be able to find a nice mid to low range model for that price. I'm a Martin man myself but usually you have to add your own electronics. Just cruise the guitar stores and play around...spending that kind of money on a guitar is fun!

I'm a taylor man myself....i don't really like martins a whole lot....the only thing i might be able to get with electronics from them is a 310ce for under 1000 or maybe something a little better online....but what im really lookin for is a thinline one like the chet....i have a big baby (i really like the tone of it....specially for 300 bucks)..but one something i can crank up really loud live....a thinline one...thanks

ive looked at the viper...but the one with a solid top is over 1000 bucks.....is there a washburn thinline?

I almost bought a Viper before i picked up chett...i love Gibson...
