Oh I'm not mad about that, it just pissed me off to hear him say "if your not going to do it that way then don't do it at all". For some reason, i was just really happy with how this came out, as differnt as it was, not mad at that, some ppl. should just think twice before making comments like that...
Amen brother.

It's a COVER.

Hey, thanks man, I really appreciate the compliment. I still haven't gotten the "silent time" to record it, it's hard, we've got a busy house, but I'll get there, and as soon as it's done, you guys'll be the first to hear it.
EDIT: That, and my voice is still recovering from the Collective Soul show on Tuesday night.

BadASS.

real good man, i like your voice on this the best of all your recordings. I know its different from the original and thats cool. The guitar is fantastic, it literally sounds perfect, great job.
You have a good voice, you just need to learn to bust it open every now and then, not all the time, but you gotta be able to express some soul once in a while or people will dismiss you. have you ever taken voice lessons? You should, there are techniques you can learn that will give you power.
Great Cover though, loved it. Peace
Do I listen to pop music because I'm miserable or am I miserable because I listen to pop music?

I really do need to take voice lessons because I have no idea what I'm doing. I'm going to give myself the rest of the year because I have seen myslef come a LONG way in the past 6 months, i'll give it another few and see what happens and then go from there. I can bust out, but cant control it very long, and it all has to do with my voice control, I suck at it. For instance, belting out the chorus like dave does in this song, I did well singing like "I fall so hard, inside the idea" and then I just lose it every time. Breath control... But thanks.

You have to learn to use your diaphragm (sp?) and not your lungs. You'll get winded ALOT if you rely on just your lungs, plus it limits your vocal control and range.

Ya, I'm gradually learning how to use both, thanks for pointing that out, it's something i have been practicing subcontiously but never really put it that way, that's what I need to do.

Sorry, I thought this was the Recording & Critiquing section. No matter that I was not the only one who said the whispery thing didn't work for them, yah? And I said "guitar is good," that wasn't constructive or positive in any way was it? I'll avoid you in the future, no worries.

I wanst mad at the critique, it just seemed awfully extreme to tell me that If i wasnt going to do it a certain way I shouldnt do it at all... I was an ass to jump on you, and maybe you didnt mean anything by it, but at any rate, I guess I took it the wrong way. Don't avoid me, lets just start over...
