strumming on Save Me

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

so like usual dave does the super fast all downstrokes way...at least on the MTV special...

what's the advantage? i can play it way better with downs and ups (like the 3--5 part after the G with upstrokes) than i can in cut time....and then it is easy to sing.....how do you guys play it?

plus it's more funkay. 8)

I play the G with DUDUD then either UU or DD for the 3 5 part

cool me too. i watched dave do it differently and assumed there was some sort of reason....but i see no difference other than it is easy.

the song is mainly downstrokes for the main G chord, and very few upstrokes. The rest of the song varies from part to part.
