Hey guys I have been practicing The Stone quite a bit and just recently injured my hand so I cant play for a while... but I was wondering if someone would be interested in recording the song, and then I want to lay the vocals over it. Plus it will help me with playing the song better if I have a guitar only version to play with. Ive been listening to the solo version on the Charlie Rose show which seems to be the best version of the song with the added ending.
Im using a freeware program called Audacity which would be the ultimate format... but if you use something else free I could always download it.
Thanks for reading and hopefully somebody will be up to this

I can do it later. The sound quality isn't going to be all that great because all I have to record with is my digital recorder. But it will probably work for what you want.
edit: nevermind, i forgot that it was acting up and its not transfering files to my computer.....sux...

Audacity is a free program you can download on the web and works pretty good. Im only using a cheap mic <$20 and it works pretty decent. So if you have a cheap mic give it a shot

how would you want me to send this to you? as an mp3? or what. its rough in a few spots...but whatever. i can't re record anything cause i broke a string a couple days ago.
that ending you're talking about is in there. when you hear the guitar riff change at the end to picked notes instead of chords...count two times through. then start singing "wise...men...." if you listen through you'll be able to get i think.

Im used to singing along with the video of the song so it will be a little different without a cue when to start singing in the different parts. The recording is great though thanks. Ill send you a copy when i get a good one complete.
