i'd love to hear it, you're so lucky man
unfortunately we're not able to record our phone interviews, so no, I couldn't tape it. I just had to take notes.

We talked for about 15 minutes. I didn't want to take too much of his time up. It really didn't even feel like an interview. We really just had a 15 minute conversation. He was real easy to just talk to
i am extremely jealous of you, congrats. Always good news about the england tour!

i really think someone who gets an opportunity should do some of the normal interview stuff at first...then take the chance to criticize the fucker and tell him how much their new album blows. not like a malicious "YOU FUCKING SUCK ASS DAVE!" type thing... but more of a "hey dave...what happened? the quality of your music, in many of our opinions has been going down hill..."

i'm sure there's enough dick heads out there that interview him and say something like that. I just didn't want to insult him. I wanted to make a good reflection on him. I mean, I doubt that out of the hundreds of thousands of interviews he does a year (exaggerating?) that he'll remember mine, but maybe the next time he comes to the area and they ask him again to do an interview with me, I'd like him to maybe say "Oh yeh, I kind of remember that. He wasn't a bad guy and he didn't piss me off during the interview. Yeh i'll do another one with him.

what i was trying to get at with that was that if you did it the right way, i don't think he'd get pissed at you. he's a musician, he better be able to take criticism. ya know? if he gets pissed off about some constructive criticism that is backed by the majority of his "hardcore" fanbase, then fuck that, why would you want to interview him again? (obviously you would want to...my point is that i highly doubt he'd get pissed about it)

No I wasn't insulting your opinion at all. But i've read many interviews with him saying that Stand Up is not all what he had hoped it to be. He's used the words "shallow" and "falling short." So i figured he already realizes that it wasn't their best album. But i asked him how they were going about their new album differently than stand up, kind of implying that it wasn't up to par. But I"m actually a fan of stand up, sort of. The live versions are really coming around.

there's teh difference...i'm one of those who is really upset by what they've been putting out lately. and i'm not just talking about stand up. i'm talking about since 02...which is a long fucking time! i just keep thinking that if i ever had the chance i'd HAVE to let him know what's on my mind...
