Taylor 110

Unread post by fsuseminole09 » Sun Oct 26, 2003 4:13 pm

What does everyone think about the taylor 110? My parents finally agreed to get me a new guitar for x-mas and I'm looking in the 550-650 price range, anyone have any other recommendations? Thanks.

No. Plain and simple, No. Get an alvarez, a takamine, or a martin, 110's aren't very good at all.. in my opinion, a bland sound..

since fatjack was the 1st person to post, go with an alvarez, i've only heard good about them.

the AD60K or AD60CK can be had for around 400 and 500 respectively. I have the AD60K and it sounds great and I love that it never goes out of tune.

I've played the 110 and I thought it to be very nice.. BUT

It has no electronics, which blows. It definately shouldn't be a 550 dollar guitar.

Alvarez's are real nice. As are Seagull's and Taks... Just play around man.. There's one for you out there somewhere.

If I were you, I would look for an all-wood guitar, that is, solid wood throughout the body. The 110 is a nice guitar, if u pretend it is $300. But it isn't. Can't really go wrong with an Alvarez.

Get a takamine. Espicially if you want electronics. Taylor 110 = not that impressive.
