Waste? I think its kind of a cool idea, as long as it doesnt effect the sound who cares, it would be nice to not have to worry about your guitar going out of tune. Plus you could probably just type in any kind of crazy tuning you'd want and it would just do it for you. I think its pretty cool.

Someone posted a video a while back. These guys didn't have the ability to tune in anything but standard then, and it was some outrageous cost, like in the thousands, if I remember correctly.

And the huge thing at the bridge.. if they made it hidden then it wouldn't be so bad but I wouldn't do that to my guitar. Next thing you know the guitars will just play at the push of a button.
