Top Jams

Unread post by fede » Sat May 27, 2006 11:27 pm

Need your help people, I'm having sort of a hard time trying to make a 90 MINUTE (no more no less) sum up of the best live jams.

The point is I don't want to repeat songs. And I want your opinion on the best jammed songs.

I already have only one decision taken:

LIOG (live trax 2) thats 13 minutes

Still, you can say another one if you want.

Thanks a lot!

I've heard live version or two of WWYS that have some pretty nice jams in them. No particular ones come to mind at the moment, but it'd be good to look in to.

Could anybody tell me how some random lyrics get into a DMB song. Like in Jimi Thing "Stop, hey, whats that sound everybody look whats going down." Or in The Stone. How did it all get started? Crowd or DMB?

They aren't exactly random lyrics, they are interpolations (sp) of other songs. "Stop, Hey, whats that sound everybody look whats going down" is a line from Buffalo Springfield's "For What Its Worth." The stuff at the end of the stone is usually "i cant help falling in love." Minarets and Pay for what you get sometimes have beatles song interpolations as well

I know what the songs are but how did they get invovled in a DMB song? Random?
