BLazE's 2Nd OrIginAl poSt...

Unread post by blaze » Tue Oct 28, 2003 1:51 am

Hi this is my 2nd original post as the name clearly states. Thanks for everyone who gave some feedback on the frist (went to the water). This song titled facin ya . Its a fun little jingle that deplicks ( if thats how you spell it) conversation between a a boy and a man. With the man telling the boy what he knows. The guitar can get kinda boring at times and i hope to improve on it in the futer.

ANY FEED BACK positive and nagative would be very COOL.

The programe used to record was ddclip all on one track aside from the overdubes on the chores.

It's on the left hand side under original songs and is called (facin' ya) http://members.shaw.ca/DanMWhalley/

I liked it...it had a nice folky feel. It was "coooool." The one thing I found kind of odd was the count off at the beginning...it wasnt even close to the actual beat of the song. :) I'd advise against the use of the word "shit." It doesnt really work in this song too well, imo. Also, I dont know if youre trying to keep a basic feel, but you might want to consider a brief solo break just to add a little variety. Good job...the song has a good foundation, but theres definitely room to work (thats not a bad thing...just about every song is always a work in progress.)

yea the 1-2-3-4 thing was pretty funny. i like the progression, but i think it may be alittle too low for your range. good job though, i like those lyrics better than the last.

WORK IN PROGRESSE INDEED. Ya the count at the start was just jokingly playing arond. I got a weird sense of humor. A more serious version of the song would definnetly have a solo too. thanks guys for the good words.

that's funny actually cause me and my friend were going to do that. a 4 count that's completely off the beat of the real song..or a really loud 4 count to like tears in heaven or something. good stuff.

"It was awsome , I had a great time" reading that, maybe my sense of humour isnt so weird.
