If I Had a Boat ? ? ? ? ? ?

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

:x :x :x :x :x

alright, i am sitting here with the tab, and the sections are all really easy to play, singing it is pretty easy too, but DAMMIT i can't for the life of me get the sections in order. i've played it like 50 times now and i always play the wrong thing at the wrong time...

does anyone wanna baby me with matching the words up to it? i'm not asking anyone to sit down and do that, but has anyone seen it done? does anyone have a cover they did, or a dave solo version so i can hear the guitar better?

thanks...

It's really just like it says on the tab...

He plays the verse like this:

Code: Select all

E:-0----------------0--------------0----------------0------------------0--
B:-0-------2--------0---------7----0-------2--------0----------7-------0--
G:-1-------2--------1---------x----1-------2--------1----------x-------1--
D:-2-------2--------2---------4----2-------2--------2----------4-------2--
A:-2-------0--------2---------6----2-------0--------2----------6-------2--
E:-0-----------4--0-0--------------0-----------4--0-0----------------0-0--
If I were...I'd sure.....marrying old....so it'd just be me...on the sea

and the chorus (if I had a boat...)

Code: Select all

E:----------0--------------0--------------0--------------
B:-2--------0-----2--------0-----2--------0-----7-----7--
G:-2--------1-----2--------1-----2--------1-----6-----x--
D:-2--------2-----2--------2-----2--------2-----x-----4--
A:-0--------2-----0--------2-----0--------2---4-4-----6--
E:-----4--0-0---------4--0-0---------4--0-0--------------
...if I had a boat, I'd go out on...had a pony...ride him

E:----------0--------------0----0------------------0-----
B:-2--------0-----2--------0----0----------7-------0-----
G:-2--------1-----2--------1----1----------x-------1-----
D:-2--------2-----2--------2----2----------4-------2-----
A:-0--------2-----0--------2----2----------6-------2-----
E:-----4--0-0---------4--0-0----0----------------0-0-----
...we could all together...out on...me upon...on my boat

I'm pretty tired so there may be some mistakes...but I think I got it right. Hope this helps! Good luck! :D
