No, not that heavy at all, the Les Paul is heavier in my opinion.

I wouldnt use a Taylor, god knows it might get stolen, especially considering the cost about 2 grand each. Which ever one plays best for you and has the best sound you should use. However if you choose one of the Taylors make sure its in your hands at all times, dont leave it in some place where someone can steal it. I would hang myself if someone nicked a Taylor off me.

Maybe it has something to do with the fact that Dave has a good taste in guitars... The 714 is one of the best all around guitars out there. I have one, and I got it way before I started listening to Dave... Now the chet I might buy because of Dave due to the fact that it has that classic Dave sound to it and is something that I have grown to like. There is nothing wrong with that man, and just because he has a 714 does not mean that he got it because of Dave. Like I said, the 714 is one of the best guitars out there, who gives a fuck if Dave Matthews has one...

Thanks Matt, I'm glad to see you agree with me too. The 714 is amazing and that's why I got it, not because Dave has one. I posted the story of why I decided to get the 714 in the beginning of this thread, because originally when I was lookin' at guitars, I was only gonna get a Martin D-16RGT. Then I came to my senses and decided to stick with Taylor. I'm definitely glad that I did.

Easy now quick-to-jump-to-conclusions Dave Matthews nut huggers. Some kid asked what Del meant. I told him. Period.

That's it. The end. Read into it. Hurry, time's a wastin'.

I have 6 guitars in total. Besides the ones that I posted, I have as follows:

1. John Sykes Signature Gibson Les Paul

2. Squier Strat Flame Maple Top (just as good as any MIM strat)

3. Custom made BC Rich Eagle (Specially created tobacco burst finish)

I love all of my guitars, but I think I'm gonna ditch the Squier Strat and get a Fender 50's Reissue when I get the money. I know I dissed MIM Strats, but the 50's reissue in 2-tone sunburst is the best electric I've ever played. (better than the Les Paul)
