Two Step Verse/Chorus Help

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Two Step Verse/Chorus Help

Unread post by serialwired » Fri May 12, 2006 8:19 pm

Hey everyone!

I've been playing guitar for about 2 and a half years now, and began learning solely on DMB tunes (which I was told was a bad idea, but I showed them!) and have since improved what I can play and learned a lot more thanks to this site and the people on the boards. So first off, I want to say thanks to ya'll for being understanding, patient and very helpful this entire time.

Secondly, I've always chose the hardest songs the band has to learn first for some odd reason, maybe it's the challenge I like. So now when I try to learn easier stuff, it actually seems harder. I've finally decided to give the Two Step chorus and verse a try, which I've read is a good place to start for people learning to play Dave. I checked around the boards and a couple other sites but couldn't find a good instructional video for those parts. I was wondering if anybody had one or could make one for me? The chords aren't the problem, it's just the whole strumming/muting thing that gets me. I can play the song easily without a pick, but once I use the pick, I can't get the strumming down. Anyway, if there's someone on here that could do that, I'd be in your debt. It's so much easier to pick something up without having to try to listen to Dave over a crowd or the band and/or without seeing it.

Thanks in advance, ya'll!

Don't burn the day,
Aaron
