List Price of the 914ce : $4,758

I once played that guitar. The feel and the sound is magnificent, on top of the beauty. Could probably get it in the high 3's or low 4's, but that guy who bought it definitely knows the answer

You should expect to pay a min of 3500 for a custom 914c. (new) I have no idea what they are going for used. This model was only availble 98,99,2000 then it changed slightly. This had to be custom ordered.

im not sure what i like better inlay-wise... the ones on your guitar are awesome, but i dont think they can compare to the 'byzantine' inlays on the taylor presentation series

i really just wanna make a custom.. have it have the abalone around the edges like on the 900 series, the byzantine inlays, and some other not so expensive features http://209.197.232.179/buyersguide/images/pslg.jpg

i called in to get a custom quote for a taylor... waiting to see how long i need to save up  ... btw i found a taylor 2003 price list... ironically its on the taylor website :o http://216.120.92.69/guitars/models/pricelist.pdf - the base model for it is the 810ce, but then add the byzantine inlays (look at presentation models) and the abalone around the soundhole and on edges

I got a Martin HD28V over x-mas/graduation so I can share the joy with you of getting a beautiful looking/sounding guitar. List is about 3500 for new---But ofcourse we all now that list prices are bs. Paid 2100 for it.

Question----Martins hold there value forever and even go up----Taylors drop tremendously as soon as you walk out the store with it. Any other reasons for this besides the name?
