ok i dont care what anyone says about dave's lack of "soloing skills" but his solo on jimi thing at GGP is so sweet and if you ask me, its everything a good solo is supposed to be: ear catching, creative, and fun to listen to.
speaking of GGP, i think daves guitar sounds great on this show. he cuts through so well (especially in WWYS during the jam) and it just gives you a great look/listen in what he really sounds like under the rest of the band. it gives me a whole new respect for his guitar playing

damnit i was definately sleeping to the tune of the listener supported dvd when my sister comes in all like "im watching the OC go away" and im like fucking shit but i got up anyway cuz im a nice guy. but it was definately a lot of fun. i was in the middle of jimi thing

yeah I read that book a couple years ago. It was ok, a lot of stories about fans meeting the band members, etc. If anything, it just makes you more jealous if you haven't met them already. The one story that sticks in my head is that some girl is workin in a cafe, and she's listenin to UTTAD. Some guy comes in, orders, leaves her a big tip and says nice tunes.
