WWYS

Unread post by Taylor2885 » Tue May 02, 2006 4:15 pm

Anyone ever notice that WWYS is the only dave song that, lyrically, seems to have absolutely no point to it and really doesn't mean anything. Obviously there must be metaphors in the song but they have to be the most random lyrics to any dmb song ever written. All of his other lyrics to songs seem to be deeper and at least about something, or tell a story. This seems to be the only one that doesn't.

Has Dave ever commented on what the song is about?

I remember doing a project in 6th grade where we had to find a song, find what we though it meant, and then re-write it using the same form and meaning, but different words. Anyway, what I remember getting out of it, is more or less just the whole live in the moment kind of deal along with dont waste your time and when such and such happens...what will you say? And will you regret it.

Dave said himself this song doesnt lyrically have any meaning

DIDO was basically just written for carter as well, but those lyrics seem to have some value

haha i'm not picking a fight, jason. Just saying that if you listen to the lyrics it seems to be about how we're fuckin up the world.

Anyway the original point of this was that WWYS doesn't seem to have any meaning, other than like somebody said before of "live for today" it's the only dave song i know like that
