Fastest Guitarist In The World!!!!!!!

Unread post by matonfan101 » Sat Apr 22, 2006 4:56 am

Yeh that got your attention :D

This guy http://www.jeremybarnes.com.au/ is apparrently seen by some as 'the' fastest guitairst in the world. I read that he can play at 40 notes a second or something (which I'm skeptical about).

What do'y'all think?
Evey Hammond: Who--who are you?
V: Who? Who is but the form following the function of what... and what I am is a man in a mask.
Evey Hammond: I can see that.
V: Of course you can. I'm not questioning your powers of observation, I'm merely remarking on the paradox of asking a masked man who he is.

Fast picking doesn't make his music any more enjoyable to listen to.

I agree wholeheartedlly, however you must respect the amount of time and skill it takes to get to play like that.

BOOK OF RECORDS APPLICANT ANDREW PRODROMOU, AKA ANDY VAN HATCHER {65 NOTES PER SECOND}

Steve Vai: 20.8 notes per second
George Lynch: 19.8 notes per second
Kirk Hammett: 19 notes per second
Paul Gilbert: 18.8 notes per second
Van Halen: 18.7 notes per second
Joe Satriani: 17.6 notes per second
Nuno Bettencourt: 17 notes per second
Yngwie Malmsteen: 16.6 notes per second
Marty Friedman: 15 notes per second
Steve Morse: 14 notes per second

that was a list by a magazine guitarra total

they didn't even show jason becker...he was one of the fastest and played more challenging licks then the rest
Fast picking doesn't make his music any more enjoyable to listen to.
when i started playing i thought that was the coolest sht ever....now i can't stand the 3 min solos

and 99% of the songs i listen to now have no solos

Didn't listen to anything, but this guy uses Godin's and Traynor's - just like me!

I saw the thread title and I thought the post was about me.

40 or 60 notes /sec sounds insane to me. i dont think i could tap my desk 15 times in one sec.

True. And how do they even count the notes, do they slow it down or something?

they used a computer and played certain songs of the guitarist

i think they used "one" for Kirk Hammett

or they could use those cameras that can show the hummingbird's wings flapping 200 times per second
