ABI tab?

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

wcola99 wrote:Actually, its not just single notes. The bass obviously plays single notes, but the chords of the song are Bm-D-D/F#-G. Dave plays two notes out of each chord at the interval of a tenth. Bm= B and D, D= D and F#, D/F# =F# and A, G= G and B. The tab has been posted here before. The piano sounds like it plays full chords. I wish people would start to get it together a little bit on these boards. This is a great resource for sharing information, but only if that information is accurate.
Then stop posting and watch a video of dave playing it. Its just single notes.

After the normal 4 chord part does anybody throw in the extra note in the second tab below? I think it sounds pretty cool & right.
------------------
------------------
------------------
------------------
-2-----5---------
-------------2---3-

and throw this in there after the first couple times.

---0--2-----5----
----------------2--3
I did this awhile back.

I watched the screen at the concert I went to. Single notes.

Not even a video, jsut seeing him live and pretty damn close.

And btw, its just an open D string, not a 5th fretted A....not that it really makes a difference but when you see that live....its pretty damn clear it isnt chords at all. Besides, which chords could he use that allowed him to keep his hand in the same poition? 1st and 5th? Not with an open D string.
