pick question

Unread post by paywad927 » Tue Jan 07, 2003 9:51 pm

i usually dont use a pick, but have come to realize that for some songs it is much easier to play with a pick. whenever i use one tho i can clearly hear the sound of the pick hitting the string. it sorta takes away from the song im playing. does anyone know what i can do to prevent this from happening?

perhaps you could switch to a thinner pick. i use a pretty thin pick, so i don't hear much pick on string noise, however for some songs like two step i can't play with a pick because of that reason.

i play #40 with a pick cuz the i cant play the individual notes fast enough w/o one, and the noise hitting the string stands out. thanx for the tip, ill give it a shot.
