What drew you to DMB?
i'm a noob and i only just started listening to DMB until very recently i used to listen to bands like Trivium and Killswitch Engage and whatnot but a while back i had seen the DMB storytellers (whole band not just Dave and Tim) and i was just blown away by Dave's voice.
So here's my question:
Why did you start listening to DMB? what was it that amazed you or you thought was cool that you just had to hear more?

I Always knew who they were because of songs like Crash, and Ants, but didn't realize how amazing they were until i downloaded a whack of songs one day ( i have a bunch of albums and dvd' s so don't hate) and then in like the same week saw the central park dvd...this was also around the same time i picked up guitar (roughly 3 years ago)
After that i learned so much about the band, like how carter annihilates other drummers...casual DMB fans don't realize how good this band is. I feel like a preacher some times to my friends when i try to tell them about DMB.....anyway i'm rambling...DMB has become and remains my fav. band.

had never heard of them before, i was jet laged in a hotel in atlanta, the day they showed Listener supported on TV, i listened to a few songs and was very impressed. by chance saw the album cover when in the airport lounge and bought it.
put on disk 2 by chance, 3 is my fav number so i heard two step. i used to play the drums and was blown away by the paino, drums and how the lyrics wernt bespoke hooks for the song, more like concious thought. so i ordered a few albums of the net. now they are my fav band for 9 years.

Gervais on Rosa Parks "she was arrested but then that law was changed- but she didnt stop there, she started sitting in the seats saved for disabled people. unbelavable, she talked to the driver when the bus was in motion- did she have the correct change ready? - did she bollox!"

when i first started playing guitar is when i heard DMB for the first time and liked it. I was almost to the point of giving up on learning the instrument because it wasn't any fun to me. then i heard #40>LIOG from Live at Chicago. i bought the cd for my self and have been hooked every since. o ya...istill play guitar too
