i was just thinking, to me, that part sounds like it goes more like:

Code: Select all

E:-2---------------------
B:-3--------------------
G:-2----------2---------
D:-0------4-----4--0---
A:--- 0/2----------------
E:------------------------

Deffinately does NOT sound better...I'm sure if it really did sound better then that would have been the way the sound was written.

go back and listen to it. the first time he plays it through like this:

Code: Select all

E:-2------------------------
B:-3----------------------
G:-2------------2---------
D:-0--0---2/4-----4/2--0
A:--- ---------------------
E:------------------------
and the second time, later in the song and before the slow break, plays it like this:

Code: Select all

E:-2--------------------------
B:-3-------------------------
G:-2------------2-----------
D:-0--------4------4/2--0---
A:-------2------------------
E:------------------------

Dave doesnt do any slides in that part of the song, its Tim doing the sliding to give a fuller sound. And for that second part I dont here it played that way on any of the recordings I have, its also not like that on the D&T video I have.

ok i'll concede that its probably Tim doing the slides. but i know for a fact i'm not hearing things; i'm listening to the studio version off of crash, and its played just the way i posted earlier.
