PA Systems

Unread post by RSabala » Wed Oct 22, 2003 10:19 am

Hello everyone! I am getting married in July and instead of paying for a DJ to annoy the crap out of me and play the Electric Slide, I was thinking of getting a PA system and hooking a laptop to it and just running a Winamp list. I know that there are many options for PA systems and it could get pretty complicated, but I'm looking for a good system that isn't too expensive. It isn't a HUGE room, but the reception is just for immediate family members, so about 60 people.

I figure that the investment is worth it because I get to keep the equipment, unlike having a DJ. I was looking at the Fender Passport 150, and that seems ok.

Suggestions, PLEASE!

Thanks
-Ryan

I am not the person to ask with this kind of a question, but I would have to agree with the Passport 150... 150 watts should be plenty for your application, I mean you don't wanna blow everyone away!!!

yeah you'll be fine with a system like that.
