Better Solo Two Step Intro?

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Better Solo Two Step Intro?

Unread post by Bartender2424 » Tue Oct 21, 2003 3:26 pm

I was messin around with the chords and I found this to sound a bit better when by yourself or even with a band, a little difficult I guess, here:

E:-----------------------
B:----10----10---3-----
G:----10----9----3-----
D:-----x----x----x-----
A:-----8----7----1-----
E:----10----8----3-----

What do you think :?: :?:

very nice. On chord two, I dropped the extra 10 down to the 8, and sometimes go inbetween, nice variation between 5ths and 6ths. Thanks for the little tip, beautiful sound!

Though I prefer the normal intro, this is a pretty interesting alternative.

This is pretty cool. also maybe you've done this, on the first chord you can slide your pinky to 11 on the B. you can do it for all the chords actually. if you do it quickly then change to the next chord and then to the next one, it kinda sounds neat. except for the last chord then it sounds kinda off. But sweet alternate intro..

E----
B---
G------------10----10- ---------------9----9----------
D---------0------------- x2 ---------10-------------- x2
A-- -----8--------8-------- -------7--------7-----------
E--10--------------------- -8-------------------------

I do that a few times just messin around with it .
Its just sumthin different. then just get faster and go into the regular intro
If I had it all
