Not Taylor or Martin?

Unread post by MWR » Tue Oct 21, 2003 5:09 pm

I'm looking to get a high end acoustic(under $2k) I was over at samusic.com the other day and started reading about fylde's and Northwoods in particular. Should I consider one of these hand made guitars or stick to Martin/Taylor. I currently own a D-15 which I love but I'm looking for something with a more complex sound. I play fingerstyle and with a pick pretty much equally. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

LAKEWOOD.

Guilds are very good, and they are built solid. Check them out, and defiantely if you want a 12 string, check them out.

Have I got a guitar for you! Larrivee OM-3. Cheaper than the two big names, tone is more balanced, thinner body well-suited for fingerpicking. I really love this guitar. I purchased one about 3 months ago, and I've it has been worth every penny. You'd be foolish to not try one out.
