elixirs you should change every couple of months.

for d'addarios you need to change em at least twice a day to get an almost good sound.

heh. Not quite that often..

If your fingers tend to sweat a lot, get elixirs. They're coated so they last longer.

I have a set of D'addario uncoated on right now. They sound more natural than elixirs imo, But It's all just personal preference I guess. Elixirs are a heck of a lot more expensive than D'addarios.

I got two packs of D'addario One coated One not of musiciansfriend.com for 11.94.

Elixirs can cost anywhere from 10, 13, 14, or even $26 a set

Whatever you say shane.

Bottom line, buy a pack of D'Add uncoated (EJ16), coated (EXP16), Elixirs, and Dean Markley's (threw that in for ya Mr. Thespian), and try each of them out objectively. Each set will sound different with your guitar, and decide which sound you like best.

Brand new elixers sound like two week old d'addarios. I'll gladly change a $5 set of strings every two weeks instead of keeping a $15 set on that doesnt sound too great to begin with for 6-8 weeks. This is of course my opinion. Others have theirs.

Im buying a set of these next time I go to get strings, just so I can make a comment either way. You seem pretty damn sold on em.

they also have 82/R Acoustic, I don't like those. The Vintage Bronze is the way to go. And for electric, I lik the Signature Nickel Steel.

But yes, you will love the Dearn Markley Signatures.
