Live Trax 5 (8.23.95) Available For Pre-Order

Unread post by Nitro1515 » Wed Mar 29, 2006 11:02 pm

2 CD set from 8.23.1995 at the Meadow Brook Music Festival, Rochester Hills, MI

8.23.1995 Meadow Brook Music Festival, Rochester Hills, MI took place during the tour for Under the Table and Dreaming, DMB’s first release on RCA Records. Dave Matthews Band was just beginning to move from playing smaller clubs and theatres to playing larger amphitheatre settings.

8.23.1995 Meadow Brook Music Festival is another crew favorite. David Ryan Harris, guitarist for Dionne Farris’ band, performed with DMB during six songs of the concert. Rhyme and Reason is a notable song featuring David Ryan Harris harmonizing on guitar with the violin and saxophone parts of the song. A twelve minute Exodus, played rarely in DMB history, was also a highlight of this show. Jimi Thing is also exceptional at fifteen minutes. The encore begins with a soulful solo performance of Typical Situation by Dave Matthews and then explodes into All Along the Watchtower also featuring David Ryan Harris.

The complete track listing is as follows:

Proudest Monkey *
Satellite *
One Sweet World
Drive In Drive Out
Dancing Nancies
Warehouse
Tripping Billies
Lover Lay Down
Rhyme and Reason *
Exodus *
Jimi Thing *
Pay for What You Get
Two Step
Ants Marching

Encore:

Typical Situation (Dave solo)
All Along the Watchtower *
* with David Ryan Harris

1995 shows were pretty good. PFWYG, Exodus, and maybe Warehouse, depending on how they did it, look like the highlights to me. i think warehouse varied a lot in 95

looks like a decent show

there are going to be so many of these. they come out pretty fast.

i wish they'd put the extra effort into sending my my damn warehouse package instead of making another one of these so soon though.

anyone still waiting on theirs?
