I realllllllly like it!!!

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Sooooo, "I Won't Give It Away"....Has anyone tabbed it out yet? I just noticed the video and sound clip from England. I really like the song. Dave voice is sooo badass to me now. I love the deep, raspy sond....My fave vocal style....

I'm glad someone agrees with me, this song is bad ass.

After looking through several tabs and critiquing my very early/very wrong tab, I came up with something I think is perfect. Here ya go, let me know if it helps.

Code: Select all

Verse:

E:---0-----3-----------1------
B:---1-----0-----3-----1------
G:---0-----0-----3-----2------
D:---2-----0-----3-----3------
A:---3-----2-----1-----3------
E:---------3-----------1------

Verse(Variation w/hammer-ons, "Bad, bad, bad..."/outro also):

E:---0-----3---------------1------
B:---1-----0---------3-----1------
G:---0h2---0---------3-----2------
D:---2-----0h2-0h2---3-----3------
A:---3-----2---------1-----3------
E:---------3---------------1------

"Oh...":

E:---0-------
B:---0-------
G:---1---1--- (Not played before first verse)
D:---2---2--- Straight too:
A:---2---2---
E:---0---4---

"I Won't give it away":

E:---0-----0--------------------------
B:---1-----0------3-----1----1---1----
G:---2-----2------2-----2----0---0----
D:---2-----2------X-----3----2---X----
A:---0-----X------X----------3---2----
E:---------3------2-------------------

"I still call you..." "My one and only..."

E:---1--------------0---- --------
B:---3----3---------1---- --------
G:---2----3----2----0---- X2 Then ---2---- Back to "Oh..."
D:---0----3----3----2---- ---2----
A:--------1----3----3---- ---0----
E:-------------1--------- --------

This song sounds like Gravedigger, from what I remember. The Ami-G-D/F# part, particularly.

I've been told that, but I can hear the F and D. And if you look closely, his pinky is bent outward, showing he's using it to barre. Take another listen, it's more than just an Ab.

Thanks for the upload. However, It's like Gravedigger part deux music wise. Im dissapointed in this song. I hope he doesn't tour with it.

Whatever happened to the Dave that wrote good guitar riffs? He seems to be resorting to standard chords & dull lyrics. [ i haven't actually heard the lyrics on this one yet]

The thing that got me hooked on DMB was their unique style, now it's just lazy man's music.
