Anyone own a Jerry Jones Baritone guitar?
I was looking at getting one, the 2 pickup version that Dave plays. There are only 2 stores in all of Canada that sell them and the one in Toronto has one selling for 845 bucks CAD. Seems reasonable to me I guess considering the MSRP on the thing is 950 USD. I will probably pick it up in May when I am in Toronto for a audition for college.

Thats a lot of money to spend on a baritone guitar. If it were me I would look into the danelectro baritones. They are very very very similiar

Do I listen to pop music because I'm miserable or am I miserable because I listen to pop music?

If you're looking for a baritone I'd suggest considering an acoustic one. I played both an Epiphone and Danelectro electric baritone a lot at a local store, and I wound up deciding on an Avante AV2 acoustic baritone.

I have no complaints about it apart from the stock strings being crap. I think mine was about $200 or so. I find it much more versatile than an electric bari would be.

that thing is weird... i dont like the angles on it, but i imagine the acoustic tone in the baritone range is pretty sweetGuitarGuy305 wrote:If you're looking for a baritone I'd suggest considering an acoustic one. I believe Jerry Jones used to work for Danelectro back in the bad old days. Dano's are alright but they cost less not to mention they are machine shopped now a days.bam3211 wrote:they look indenticalRunsWithBuffalo wrote:Thats a lot of money to spend on a baritone guitar. And GuitarGuy, I dont need any more acoustics, I already have 3 as is, besides I like using effects and playing a Baritone electric with effects would be really neat methinks, I could get some kick ass sounds out of it.

Gervais on Rosa Parks "she was arrested but then that law was changed- but she didnt stop there, she started sitting in the seats saved for disabled people. unbelavable, she talked to the driver when the bus was in motion- did she have the correct change ready? - did she bollox!"
there are so many other, much better uses for a baritone.paulaitchison wrote:h ive been tempted, but yeah just to play some devil, and what you are (i dont know of any other electric baritone songs of my head, please add)Coldchillin wrote:Please don't get a baritone just to play the few Dave songs on it.
