We've been talking back and forth, but it really was just a freakin one in a million chance. We both went through something very similar and I guess saw it in the same light. I don't know about the rest of the song but I think that the stanza part's where the only things similar. I realize this is hard to believe for alot of you, it was hard for me to believe but it happened. I thought really hard about what one of you said, that possibly I saw his song on here and that it was in my subcontious, but I can honestly say that I have not heard his song before. John said that he finished the song back when I was in high school, I wasnt even writing songs at the time and I think that someone mentioned that his song was posted over here a year ago or so, In which case I didnt even look on these recording boards at the time, I have only recently (within this school year) started to come on these recording bords and listen to people's songs and post my own, so there is no way that I have ever heard Johns song. Anyway, I just wanted to make things clear, because this is not something that you see everyday if ever, a preatty amazing conincidence. If it's ok with John, I would be interested in making a new thread with both of our songs posted in it, because it's preatty amazing that we both wrote the same thing, and it would be interesting to see the differnt takes music wise as I'm sure that the songs will have 2 differnt feals (At least I hope so, that would be beyond freaky...). Also a big thanks to John for being so open minded and understanding, I don't know if I would of reacted the same way in his situation, a good testament to his character. Thanks John, you're a good man.

Who likes to copy songs/lyrics from other guys?! If one loves to create original music it's because IT'S ORIGINAL!

If I was to use someone's lyrics, I would use Dave's...

For me it is clear that mattinbeloit didn't copy any lyrics!

I'm sure there are going to be a ton of you that think I'm full of shit, and quit honestly none of us need to hear it. John and I are cool about it, and that's all that matters to me. Well, I shouldnt say that, really it would be nice if everyone here didn't think I was a lier and theif, but sometimes you can't convince everyone and when it comes down to the fact of the matter I'm relieved that I was able to work things out with John.
