This is a really quick recording I did, i'm not looking for a grammy, just a few pointers on what I could tidy up.

i can beleive this is the first response u've had man - sorry about that.

i actually quite enjoyed it. I thought some of the higher parts seemed tough for you, but i mean, i think alot of people wud struggle.

i like how u didnt do a carbon copy of Dave either. Good job man! :thumbsup:

Not bad. Try not to emphasize the slide as much as you are. Maybe sing a little louder. Add a little roughness if you can. I know that makes it more like how Dave does it, but whatever. It's good though. Maybe just add a little energy in your voice and it'll be great.

Not bad man. Its a solid recording but it does need a bit more energy and it'll sound great.

Yeah, guess I need to find an energy "balance". On some songs I think I have a little bit too much, and some not enough. Thanks for the feedback, it's very much appreciated

Like the others have said, just a bit more energy and you'll be there. You're singing like you're afraid to wake up your roommate. This song more than any others needs to be loud and proud!

As for the guitar, something didn't sound right to me. It doesn't sound like you're sliding up far enough on the 5th string. You should be sliding up to the 8th fret but I don't think you are.

But otherwise, solid effort...I liked it.

i think it's a song dave wrote about a girl he was dating in the early 90s. he wrote IBYU to propose to her i think. she said no, and he wrote halloween cuz he was pissed. i think that's the story.
