Thanks for the tip.

I've now realised that the AC input is 120V. However, in Europe we have 230V AC inputs.
Ultrasound also produces amps with 230V, right? I've sent an email to Guitar Adoptions asking that, but maybe you can tell me right away.

Thanks.

Yeah, I think I can.
That can be a solution, but it means I'll have to carry the converter everywhere I take the amp.

I have some hope that Ultrasound does it, because they also have dealers in France, Germany, Italy and other european countries. Anyway, I prefer to buy it in the States, since I pay 200Eur less...

By the way, I've never played (or seen) an Ultrasound amp. Everybody seems to agree it's a great amp, and the best in its price range. What's your opinion? I want it to plug my D35 and play mainly at home.

EDIT: It's an Ultrasound AG50DS3 amp

Since I pay 200Eur less, I think it is worth it to believe the opinions of this forum. :) If I don't like it I can probably sell it here in Portugal for the same price, I think.

About the converter, the guy on GuitarAdoptions just said they have for additional $50...

I'll let you know about my choice.

Thanks a lot.

The guys at GuitarAdoptions are asking a copy of my credit card to proceed with the purchase of the amp. I've never been asked that... Further, I usually use a temporary credit card that I can emulate with my bank. I use it a lot to shop at Amazon.

I've already sent them an email asking if I could use a temporary card.

Anyway, it would be nice to know about your experience, and if it is ok to send an email with a Credit Card picture...

Thanks

You will be very happy with the Ultrasound AG50!
You're only as strong as the tables you dance on.

The guys at GuitarAdoptions say that the only way to make the purchase is "sending a copy of the front and back of your credit card".

Do they ask this all the time? It's really unsafe. Do you think I can completely trust them? I really don't know the store..

That doesn't sound right. Just pay the extra 200 euros, you'll save yourself some hassle as well as your friend. Amps are heavy...

I was actually starting to think about that... What are the best online stores in Europe to buy an Ultrasound amp? I wasn't able to find them in Portugal...
