peavey classic 50?

ok. im in a bind between getting a classic 50 by peavey, which is around 575 at my local music store. or getting a smaller fender tube amp for the same price, not really sure what i want. so if ne body has ne experience with the classic 50s give me some ideas. thanks! :D

I got a Fender Blues Jr. That is a really nice amp. It sounds great. And, to get distortion, since there isn't a gain knob, it's very easy. You turn up the volume, and turn down the main, and you got yourself some good sounded crunch :) . Check it out, my dad got it for me, and he knows sound and amps like no one I have met.
