As I was watching this, I almost kept on turning it off because it was so boring and lackluster. But I kept saying to myself, "No wait, the other guys said it was good. Keep watchin, Dave will pull out some amazing riff or melody."

But it never happened. Maybe the full band version will be better, but solo acoustic was pretty weak.

The more I watch it the more I agree. The guitar part is very generic, not imaginative at all. I like the lyrics but they aren't finished. I would like to hear a full band version before I write this one off.

I thought it was average. I didn't really care to listen all that much. Seemed fairly straightforward.

Thanks for this boys. I'm downloading this, so this will be a DMB song, or is this going to be a solo song?

I dunno, I really like the lyrics, very introspective and honest. The guitar is simple, C.G.Bb.F, but i don't think that makes it boring, i think it leaves more room for the rest of the band. I think Dave has spoiled us with his riffs and whenever he tries to play chords people say its not his style.

Maybe on the last record he spent too much time creating guitar riffs and not enough time writing.
Do I listen to pop music because I'm miserable or am I miserable because I listen to pop music?

On the last album he didn't spend enough time on either of those things.

agreed, band could creative in this one I think, first song since his solo album that he wrote a song like this (minus the four 04' tunes + Loving Wings)

I really liked the song. Seems a lot stronger at least content wise then Stand Up type songs. Perhaps not in the guitar sense, but then again Dave isn't known for crazy solos or changing it up too much. Just a great rhythm player, and this song I liked the guitar too.

Good stuff over all I think.
