hats off Jason P
i know i'm light years late on this, but damn i miss jasonpeaver.com. i have to say that that site combined with these tabs made learning sooo much easier, and yes i'm one of the terds that never donated money, always thinking"maybe tomorrow". i just wanted to give a warm round of applause to the man that created that site and if i ever make it out to virgina, the first bottle of burbon is on me! thanks again, Jason...you tha man!

I think you and I were the only ones to donate anything to Jason's site. I think like 5 people thanked us, out of the hundreds that raped his site. I don't blame him one bit for shutting down. I wouldn't be able to deal with the freeloaders.paulaitchison wrote:,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, that is the questionjsgksu wrote:turds, or tards...

Dude's got a new job that requires more time on his part, didn't have time to update it and of course the cost (without any donations) was an issue.
But it was good while it lasted, kind of like DMB prior to Stand Up.

wow, I dont see where anyone gets off calling people who downloaded form a free site a freeloader? Jason didnt do it for money, and never asked for money till towards the end of the site's life. He actually refused money before that. So enjoy your stance on that soap box. I never donated him money, but I did buy him/us a 12er of coors light. But i also never DLed without thanking him. Guess that still makes me a freeloaderacusticdude wrote:I think you and I were the only ones to donate anything to Jason's site. you are absolutely right, and please don't think I am speaking for jason in any way. I am just expressing my personal opinions. I guess my choice of words ie freeloader was a little harsh. However, Jason did ask for money. If you remember, he put a paypal link on his site requesting donations. I don't blame him for this. I personally gave $200, not asking for anything in return. I wanted the community to have the resource. I was a little discouraged when Jason asked people to thank paul and I and like 10 peple did so. I know the average dmbtabber is in college and doesn't have a lot of money. I am 30 and make a very good living so I gave what I could to someone who was doing something out of the kindness of his heart. I never felt obligated to give anything but I did because it was the right thing to do. Even though I have never met jason, and probably never will. I could have just been an anonymous lurker who takes whatever they can for themselves, but I am not like that. I guess I am trying to say that I feel Jason's generosity was being taken advantage of and it soured him on running the site. Again, This is pure opinion / speculation.czech wrote:wow, I dont see where anyone gets off calling people who downloaded form a free site a freeloader? that's rad. I'm sorry, it just came off very harsh to those that didnt donate. And I knwo what you mean about average tabber being in college, as i've been out of college and am making more money it is kind of cool that donating to things like that are becoming a possibility, where as 3 years ago I couldn't donate $5 to keep my membership on another site.acusticdude wrote:you are absolutely right, and please don't think I am speaking for jason in any way.
