So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

They all know me by name, it's like cheers ecxept I am not a bar fly, I am a guitar fly. They fix my guitar neck for 20 bucks in under 15 minutes. They don't care if you come in just to play, and they don't cut down your time, just as long as you are being respectful to everyone else there (so no heavey metal for 2 hours straight ;) ). I go in to get strings, and 2 hours later I leave because I was playing the guitars, and I LOVE their Guilds. GOOD AND LOUD MUSIC RULES!
man, your lucky. my local store (if you can call it that) has at most a dozen acoustics, and the best ones they have are low end taks. i did get lucky tho that they sell 2 types of d'addario strings, one of which is the kind i use, thats the only reason i ever go in there.

There's this guitar shop in Bend called Bryans House of Music, its Bryan and his wife who run the place. Bryan is a really cool guy but his wife is a total bitch. I went into that place "to buy" a guitar but first i wanted to play it one last time, the time before bryan let me play it, but this time his wife was there and she wouldn't even let me use a pick or plug it in to play it. "Fingers only" is what she said. I set the guitar on the ground and walked out and haven't been there since. Luckily, theres two other small guitar shops in town. You guys are all lucky if you've got a place that lets you jam.

I lvoe good and loud. They focus on drums and guitar pretty much. You find mandolins sometimes, banjos, ukes, and a few others sometimes. Their main room is almost as long as my house, and it's covered with guitars and amps, eveything from Les Pauls to Strats to Gibson arch tops to Tacoma acoustics to Epiphone electrics and acoustics (good ones) to PRS to Guild Blues Birds to lesser known brands, and the back wall is covered with Basses. You find fedner, marshal, orange, xxx, line 6, and shits more, from cheap small practice amps, to big performance amps. Then they have a special guitar room with their top of the lines. The custom and black beauty Les Pauls, all the great Guilds, the Epiphone Elites, high end Tacomas, high eend Gibson acoustics, and high end Gibson arch tops They let me play them all, and I sit there for an hour, playing those high ends.

Man, I LOVE THIS STORE! They also will order in any strings you want if they don't have them in stock.

I still suggest, if you want good honest prices, contact dave from davesguitar.com . check out the inventory on the website, and they will ship it to you. I would say to check out Good & Loud, but they don't send them out, or allow orders outside, since they just havn't done it yet. Also, they don't have a deal with Martins or Taylors. The other music store is hording that contract, and charging an arm and a leg for them! It also is too formal there, and you have to ask people to play the guitars, and then they sit there with you, grrrrrrrrrrrr. Good & Loud want the deal with Martin and Taylor, and I wish they get it soon!

Again, for just good adivce, even if you never buy from them, and tell them that, ask davesguitar.com . (it's a local store in wiscnsin, and I got my les paul from them before I knew about good & loud.)
Yes, I am in a box

I'd have to say that I've never had any problems with Guitar Center. I'm fortunate to have two of them within an hour's drive of me. They've always been courteous. For example, being a percussionist, I went to go jam on the digitals. The sales rep in the section said hello, asked if there was anything he could do, and mentioned that the digitals were screwed up because of a surge caused by a recent power storm. And he didn't bother me at all, let me play till my dad wanted to leave.

As for the guitar section, I dunno. But I'm gonna go soon, so I'll let you guys know.
