Im so confused. What are you asking for exactly, this song isnt just 3 chords strummed over and over with a little riff in between.

I guess I made it sound more confusing then it is. When Dave plays the songs he's fooling around with Am G and F and he plays a riff in between in the beginning of the song I was just wondering what he plays or maybe if someone had the tabs for the whole song it would be a little better. Sorry if i confused anyone.
Thanks

Saying Stairway To Heaven is just 3 chords is like pressing the EASY button in those commercials. I'm aware that comment wasn't very funny, but it's just the vodka talking at this point. -night everyone

I don't think he has ever played the entire song. Just the jam at the end is the same chords as watchtower and sometimes he'll throw some stairway lyrics in, but it is still watchtower

yes, if you want a great acoustic version play dave grohls, its awesome because you don't have to be able to play the solo to play the whole song.

The riff is

Code: Select all

e
b
G
D
A 3/7 5\3
E 1/5
You are talking about the Zep verison, right? I've never heard the Dave version.

What I put is the only other thing I hear him do, and he used to do that a lot on the watchtower jam, listen to Recently EP's version. What you are talking about is just the watchtower jam and he sings the stairway outro lyrics, then goes back into watchtower's lyrics.
